Plug-type (or core) aeration is offered in September - October. Aerating is the process of removing plugs or cores, 1/2 inch in diameter, from your lawn which allows water, oxygen, fertilizers and other nutrients to penetrate the soil to reach the root system of your grass. The plug or core also carries the necessary nutrients to the upper layer of the topsoil to rejuvenate lawn growth and reduce the build up of thatch for the following season. Aerating is the best non chemical service for any yard.
